Over the years we have had many complaints about companies installaing a wood floor and not doing a good job. Some of the installers are not legal and are not insured so they take the money and they run leaving the homeowner hanging. All we can tell you is use a company that is insured. Don’t always go with the lower price. We understand trying to save money we all do but remember you will have to live with your decision for a long time. Ask if they are an American citizen if you are not sure. For every illegal you use you put an American out of work. This is a very touchy subject but in all honesty we need to take care of American citizens. I wish the illegals would do what they are suppose to do to become citizens and pay taxes and have insurance and all the other things we do as Americans.
Lower prices does not mean it is better it could actually be a big nightmare for you. We know of one company that went under because they sold to many illegals and when things got a little tough they left the country and never paid this company what they owed. We all need to watch out and make sure we are doing the right thing. Many illegals are really nice peopl but we need to take care of our own first. Besides our customers are very competitive based on them paying their taxes, paying for health insurance and a host of other thing they must do to run a legitimate business. More importantly I can’t tell you how many times our customers told us that many illegals send their money home. So they work here but most of their money goes back to be spent in their country. Come on people let’s think about what we are doing. This is not only happening in the hardwood flooring industry it is happening all over and we are feeding it with our US dollars.
